evening vs. Cockrill ! The Tennis Team really played well in doubles, mixed doubles, and our
singles matches! Improvements all over the courts! Our Track Teams run in the MISD City Meet
this evening and judging from the talent and efforts displayed the past few weeks - McKinney ISD
has many great athletes headed to our three high schools! Dowell has many multi-sport athletes
(as well as CMS, EMS, FMS, JMS) continuing to compete in track and field - building their spirit and
Pep Rally today to honor our DMS Special Olympics Athletes and our DMS Tennis and Track Athletes.
Special time for all these athletes! DMS Cheerleaders & DMS Fine Arts Groups will really get the Spirit
of Dowell flowing throughout the building! What a great afternoon it will be at Dowell!!!
Our MISD Athletic Word of the Week has been “Self Confidence”. Coaches talked with the athletes
about believing in themselves/building their spirit with quality work/energy and the knowledge of they
have done it right with all their might! Our Athletes of the Week: Lacey Hale, Hayden Flynn, Leyton

Kim, Danny Cape, Charlie Bartholomew.
Tennis will travel to Prosper Reynolds on Tuesday, April 18th 4:30pm start
Track will compete in the District Meet @ Ron Poe on Friday, April 21st -Running Events. On Monday,
April 24 - Field Events and 2400 run. District Track is a two day event this year.
