Wow! 2018 is here! We hope this is a great year for all of us! So great to get back
to being with our young athletes! Athletes came in and got back to work - full of
Energy and Spirit – so exciting! I do believe these kids will make it a great 2018!!
Basketball Teams played against Evans this week in hardwood action. Great to
get back into the groove! Dowell Teams play Cockrill this coming week with
7th Boys @ DMS and 8th Boys @ CMS on Jan. 17th. 7th Girls @ DMS and 8th
Girls @ Boyd on Jan. 18th All games start at 5:00pm
Our MISD Athletic Word of the Week has been Integrity. We re-visited Integrity
with the athletes from the first week of school – August, 2017. Coaches talked
about having great qualities of life: Values, Self Discipline, Emotional Security,
and to treat others with respect. Our Athletes of the Week are Benjamin Boggs,
Alexis Martinez, Jake Park, Logan Schindler, Annika Dundon, Taylor Jenkins, Ebony
Jernigan, Riley Thomason.
Advanced PC begins on Tuesday morning Jan. 16th for those who joined. It’s

No school or workouts on Monday, Jan. 15th in honor of Martin Luther King – MISD
school holiday. We’ll get back to regular schedule on Tuesday morning.
