the excitement is outstanding! Off season groups continue to develop their
agility and endurance/strength as well. Building upon each days work is a
sure way to become their very best as they grow and get older.
Our MISD Athletic Word of the Week has been Responsibility. Coaches
visited with athletes about their duties, chores, work ethic and the ability
to take on responsibility and get the task done with quality.
Our Athletes of the Week are: Teresa Ramirez, Tremendous Wells, Paige
Marchino, Charleen Bartholomew, Henry Best, Aidan Hudson, Michael
Sigoda, Avery Hunt, Dawson Goheen.
Dowell Tennis battled Highland Park on Tuesday afternoon @ Boyd. Our
Tennis Team didn’t let the strong March winds hamper our play as we
defeated HP in a strong fashion! Our doubles and singles play was more
intense this week and produced our second straight win!
Dowell Tennis plays Prosper next Wednesday, March 30th @ Boyd.
Dowell Track competes in the Princeton Panthers Track Meet today @
Princeton High School Football Stadium. 4:00pm start. This is a big meet
for our teams and it will be very competitive in every event. Our Lionettes
and Lions compete daily at practice to make the meet – so we’re ready!
Next Tuesday, March 29th, Dowell 7th and 8th graders will take on the state
STAAR Test. 7th Writing/8th Math March 30th- the 8th graders will take the
Reading test as well. Please make sure your athlete eats well and gets some
good rest Monday night and Tuesday night to DOMINATE THE STAAR!!!
