potential as young athletes - as well as a human beings. Athletics can be one of the greatest
teachers of life lessons and character. The values of working hard, teamwork, sportsmanship,
courage, sacrifice, time management, nutrition, competition, dealing with a loss, roles on the
team, responsibility, can all be found in athletics. I know our coaches love to help kids!!
Our MISD Athletic Words of the Week have been Work Ethic. Our Athletes of the Week are Jack
Forester, Jay Thompson, Tara Gokhale, Jack Graman, Gavyn McKinney, Maurico Gallegos, Andrea
Edebor, Britten Larsen, Austin Woodruff, Chase Washington.
Big Volleyball action last night vs. Evans here at Dowell! What a crowd! What an experience for the
girls! We earned victories with 8th A and 7th A, B Teams! Our teams showed heart and battled in
all the games! We play Cockrill next week. 8th @ Boyd and 7th here at Dowell.
Football! Are you ready for some Monday Night Football??? Dowell 8th Grade plays Cockrill this
coming Monday evening @ MNHS Stadium 5:30 start. Tuesday @ Boyd, our 7th Teams will battle
with Cockrill starting at 5:30pm.
Cross Country will compete in the Prosper CC Meet this coming Monday @ Prosper HS. Coach
Branham and Coach Wilson have us ready. 7th Girls start 5:00 , then 8th Girls, 7th Boys, 8th Boys.
This will be an AWESOME time for our CC Athletes!
