7th Grade
The Dowell Lionettes seventh grade volleyball teams crushed Johnson Middle School on October 30, winning all their games!
The Blue “B” team won their set in two games, 25-18 and 25-17. Rylee Jahn had 12 serving points, including 7 aces and 4 hits at the net. Macie McCraw had 8 points, including 2 aces. Kayla Minst had 4 points, including 2 aces. Madison Maguire had 2 hits, 2 tips and 2 kills. Great job to the entire squad for their hard work!
The Gold “A” team played two games, winning 25-10 and 25-6. Caroline Creedon had 12 serving points, including 5 aces, and also a hit, a tip and a kill. Shelby Luther had 5 hits, 3 kills and a tip. Morgan Appleby and Olivia Tarsi each served 10 points, including 2 aces. Way to work as a team ladies!
Closing out the evening, the White “C” team won their set in two games, 25-6 and 25-13. Campbell Shelton had 11 points with serves, including 4 aces. Ashlyn Voss served 13 points, including 10 aces and also had a tip. Olivia Bettin had a push kill and Morgan Bryan had a hit at the net. Excellent teamwork and flexibility on the court!

The Blue “B” team won their set in three games, 24-26, 25-9, and 25-12. Andie Baldridge led offensively with 6 kills and 2 aces. Celeste Darling and Kamryn Wheatland each served 5 aces. Vivian Murphy had a great defensive game.
The Gold “A” team won in two 25-13 and 25-18. Kinley Schnell had 6 kills and 2 aces. Alyssa Spangle had 5 kills and Lauryn Hume earned 9 points with aggressive serves including 1 ace.
The White “C” team finished with a win in 2, 25-14 and 25-16. Kylee Brakebill had 5 aces, Courtney Briggs had 4 aces and Lindsey Lange had 3 aces and 1 kill. Mya Donohoe and Anna Schaar both had excellent passes.
Our next game is still currently TBA. The Gold team plays in our district tournament tomorrow at Evans Middle School beginning at 10:00. One Heart, One Team, LIONETTES!
