Dowell 7th grade volleyball competed against Highland Park middle school. Dowell played well but came home with three losses.
Our Blue team started off strong but fell behind in the first set losing 25-18. We started off the second set with great energy but fell short once again 25-17. Mallory Cormier had 23 digs on the back row while Amory Dudek had 5 kills on the front row.
Our Gold team also lost in two 25-23 and 25-20. Kayla Griffith had 13 digs and 6 kills and Chelsea Hollopeter had 4 kills. The girls played aggressive and fought hard.
Our White team lost two tough sets 25-12 and 25-16. Kailey Kackley had 12 digs and Makena Faust had 2 aces. Way to fight white team!
Your lady lionettes will be on the road again next Thursday to play Evans middle school. Good luck Lionettes! One Heart One Team!

Our Blue team fought hard but fell short with scores of 17-25 and 19-25. Landry Hugghins had 4 hard kills and Jacqueline Cape had 2 aces and played great defense with 14 digs on the back row.
The Gold team also lost in two with scores of 17-25 and 11-25. Kyanna Creecy had 3 blocks and 4 kills while Sophia Ricci and Regan Fene played great defense on back row.
Our White team lost two tough sets 11-25 and 15-25. Emma Demouy had 1 kill and 1 ace while Peyton Miller had a great 7-serve streak late in the second game with 5 aces.
The Lady Lionettes will be HOME next Thursday against Evans Middle School for our annual Pink Out game. Put on your best pink gear and come out and support! There will be a donation box at the gate and all proceeds will benefit The American Cancer Society. One Heart One Team!
